InnoWave Chosen by Telmex Mexico to Supply Fixed Wireless Access Solutions; Contract Value - US $11 Million

PETAH TIKVA, ISRAEL, February 28, 2001 - ECI Telecom LTD's (NASDAQ/NM symbol: ECIL) fully owned subsidiary, InnoWave ECI Wireless Systems Ltd., ("InnoWave"), a global leader of Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) solutions, has been chosen by Telmex Mexico to deliver MultiGain Wireless (MGW) Local Loop solutions.

Under the contract, valued at US $11 million, InnoWave's MultiGain Wireless Systems will be deployed by ECI Mexico and will provide wireless telecommunications services in Mexico. The agreement was signed after Telmex had successfully tested InnoWave's MultiGain Wireless systems.

"InnoWave's advanced MultiGain Wireless solution will support Telmex to attend to the growing service demands in a rapid and efficient way", said Telmex officials.

Fixed Wireless Access systems utilize radio links instead of copper telephone lines and provide the connection between individual subscribers and telecommunications service providers.

InnoWave's MultiGain Wireless solution supports a wide range of frequency bands ranging from 800MHz to 3.8GHz. The Frequency Hopping CDMA technology used in the MultiGain Wireless system is designed to meet the specific requirements of Radio in the Local Loop. The InnoWave MGW system supports toll quality voice, high-speed voice band data, ISDN-BRI and IP packet switching services.
