Floware Announces OEM Agreement with China's Datang Telecom Technology

Datang Committed to Buy Over $60 Million Over the Next Two Years
 

Or Yehuda, Israel, March 12, 2001 ­ Floware Wireless Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: FLRE), a leading provider of broadband wireless access (BWA) communication systems, announced today that is has signed an OEM agreement with Datang Telecom Technology Co. Ltd., a leading telecommunications corporation in China. Under this agreement, Floware's WALKair BWA system will be integrated into Datang's product line and distributed in China under the Datang brand name.

Last year, Datang placed initial purchase orders with Floware on behalf of two of the largest Chinese telecommunications operators for more than $6 million. As part of the new agreement, Datang has committed to purchase from Floware over $60 million in equipment for Chinese carriers over the next two years.

Datang Telecom Technology Co. Ltd., which is traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, is a leading telecommunications integrator and equipment supplier in China. Its research and production operations cover all areas of telecommunications.
